Chatham-Kent (CK) police have seized around $35,000 worth of cocaine.
On October 15, officers saw two people talking in a parking lot. When the officers approached and asked to speak with them, one of them ran away while carrying a bag.
During the pursuit, the suspect reportedly attempted to get rid of the bag. Officers recovered the bag and found 349 grams of cocaine, a digital scale, and cash inside it.
Police were able to arrest the suspect, a 19-year-old Chatham man, and charged him with possession with the purpose of trafficking.
He was also charged with failing to comply with a release order.
The man remains in police custody.
