Chatham Thunder bring home 4 gold medals

The Chatham Thunder Ringette Association had a successful weekend, bringing home four gold medals.

At the tournament in Burlington, Chatham teams competed in several age divisions.

The U10 Thunder cruised to a 9–3 win in the championship game. The association noted that the team's fast-paced play and confident puck movement allowed them to take control early and never look back.

The U12 Thunder also took home gold with a decisive 7–2 victory, saying strong defensive coverage paired with an effective offensive attack kept their opponents on their heels throughout the tournament.

Another gold medal came courtesy of the U16 B Thunder, who capped off their weekend with an 8–3 win in the final. The association says their relentless pressure and sharp execution led to steady scoring chances.

The 18+ Thunder squad had a dramatic game. Down 3–1 late in the gold-medal game, the team refused to back down, rallying with three unanswered goals in the final minutes to pull off a thrilling 4–3 comeback win.

The U16 A Thunder also put together a solid weekend, finishing 2–2 during round-robin play.

As the weekend came to a close, the association noted that the Burlington tournament will be remembered as a defining moment for the Chatham Thunder.
